A local app shows when a Claude Max plan is going unused
A Claude Max subscription was being used for only about 22% of its weekly limit on average. The paid plan allowed much more use, but the real usage looked closer to a smaller plan. A small desktop app was made to check this.
It reads Anthropic’s /usage endpoint on the user’s own computer, without sending tokens or usage data to the cloud. It shows how much paid capacity is still unused and gives a 14-day view of heavy and light usage days. After a few days, seeing the gap made Claude usage more intentional and helped productivity.
The tool may be polished into a fully local app for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
