A hidden hallway cabinet for home server gear
An unused overhead hallway space was turned into a custom cabinet during an apartment renovation. The cabinet was designed and built from scratch, and with the doors closed, the , UPS, and switches are almost invisible. The cabinet floor was shortened to create a hidden air intake at the bottom, so air can move up through a rear gap and leave through two fans at the top.
With the doors closed, the fan noise is about 42 decibels. Half of the cabinet is reserved for family
