Gothic 1 Remake has no DLSS option under GPTK 4.0 beta 1
Users running Gothic 1 Remake on Mac via Apple's game compatibility tool (GPTK 4.0 beta 1) report that the DLSS graphics option is missing entirely. DLSS is an Nvidia-only technology, so it does not work on Macs. Those wanting better image quality on Mac need to look to alternative upscaling options instead.
GPTK (Game Porting Toolkit) is Apple's tool that lets you run Windows-only games on a Mac without buying a Windows PC. In the latest beta version 4.0 b1, players launching Gothic 1 Remake find that the DLSS setting simply does not appear in the graphics menu.
DLSS is a technology made by Nvidia that uses AI to render a game at a lower resolution and then sharpen it back up, boosting frame rates. Since Macs use Apple Silicon chips with no Nvidia GPU inside, DLSS cannot function here and GPTK does not emulate it. Mac users — including those on Mac mini — should instead look for MetalFX (Apple's equivalent) or FSR (AMD's open alternative) support in games. GPTK 4.0 is still in beta, so compatibility may improve in later releases.
